Cena benéfica Asilo San Juan Diego
Son tres años ya los que se cumplen, desde que el comité fundador del Asilo San Juan Diego organiza una cena para recabar fondos destinados a solventar sus propias necesidades. Esta actividad es solo una de tantas otras para continuar con la construcción de un segundo piso, destinado a dar albergue a más personas de la tercera edad. Actualmente, se atiende a 17 adultos en de edad avanzada, pero existe una demanda de 20 más. El costo aproximado de la obra es de un millón cien mil pesos y, en palabras de la presidenta, Laura Mestre de Legorreta, aún falta mucho por reunir y hacer para retribuir a estos venerables el trabajo y la vida que ellos ofrecieron en su momento.A los interesados en ser parte de este proyecto, favor de consultar www.asilosanjuandiego.com.mx o en el teléfono: 113 30 80.

It has now been three years straight since the founding committee of the San Juan Diego Nursing home organizes a dinner to gather funds destined to finance its own operations. This gathering is only one of the many ways by which the nursing home has tried to continue with the construction of the second floor of its premises, destined to shelter more elderly people. At the present time seventeen advanced in years people are being tended to, but there is a demand for twenty more. The estimated cost for this to be a reality is one of one hundred thousand pesos and, in the words of the organization’s president, Laura Mestre de Legorreta, much more remains to gather the remainder of the sum and to be done to give back to these venerable people the life and work they offered in their time.
