Concierto de invierno OEPV
La Orquesta Escuela Puerto Vallarta presentó su concierto de invierno, con un lleno total en el Teatro Vallarta  bajo la dirección artística del maestro Miguel Almaguer. Los alumnos de composición de la OEPV hicieron arreglos para trompeta y orquesta a tres piezas que fueron interpretadas por el solista Kevin Olvera quien, al igual que Omar Romero, fueron alumnos destacados en el verano de 2013. Durante el desarrollo del concierto la audiencia se mostró complacida por la sincronía melódica y contrastante de las composiciones expuestas bajo la batuta del
maestro Almaguer, quien además presentó una trascripción de la música de la película «La Noche de la Iguana», a propósito de su reciente aniversario. El programa se completó con la «Danza Macabra», de Camile Saint-Saens;
«Libertando», de Astor Piazzola; «Finlandia», de Jean Sibelius y la «Obertura Caribeña» del recientemente fallecido compositor mexicano Mario Kuri-Aldana. ¡Una alegría los artistas vallartenses!
OEPV winter concert
The Puerto Vallarta School Orchestra presented their winter concert, with a sold-out in the Teatro Vallarta under the artistic direction of maestro Miguel Almaguer. The OEPV composition students made arrangements for trumpet and Orchestra, three pieces that were performed by the soloist Kevin Olvera who, like Omar Romero, were students in the 2013summer. During the development of the concert the audience was pleased by the melodic and contrasting synchrony of the compositions exposed under the baton of the Maestro  Almaguer, who also presented a transcription of the music from the film ‘Night of the Iguana’ with regard to its recent anniversary. The program was completed with the ‘danse macabre’, by Camille Saint-Saëns; ‘Releasing’, by Astor Piazzola; ‘Finland’, by Jean Sibelius and the Overture ‘Caribbean’ by the recently deceased Mexican composer Mario Kuri-Aldana.
