Primer Festival BallenArte
La emoción que estalla cada año con el arribo de ballenas jorobadas a Puerto Vallarta, se concretó por fin en un Festival dedicado a este suceso sin igual, a través de BallenArte. El llamado convocó a toda la sociedad vallartense a festejar a estas criaturas que, con rigurosa puntualidad, se aparean y alumbran en la Bahía. Astrid Frishen Jordan, presidenta de Ecología y Conservación de Ballenas (ECOBAC),sorprendió a todos con la inauguración del evento en el muelle de los Muertos y con las múltiples actividades ecológicas, como el Carnaval de embarcaciones, la premiación a los tour operadores responsables, un Rally infantil, carrera de bicicletas, la majestuosa formación de la ballena jorobada con los cuerpos de algunos niños y las conferencias, exhibiciones y proyecciones artísticas que conmocionaron a todas las familias y visitantes porteños.

The emotion that erupts each year with the arrival of humpback whales to Puerto Vallarta, finally materialized in a Festival dedicated to this event like no other, through BallenArte, (WhaleArt for Spanish). The call summoned all Puerto Vallarta society to celebrate these creatures which, with rigorous punctuality, mate and give birth in the Bay. Astrid Frishen Jordan, President of Ecology and Conservation of Whales (ECOBAC), surprised everyone with the inauguration of the event at the pier of Los Muertos Beach, and the multiple ecological activities such as the Carnival of boats, the awards to the tour operators, a child Rally, bicycle race, the majestic formation of a humpback whales made by children with their bodies and the conferences, exhibitions and artistic projections that entertained all the families and visitors of Vallarta.
