Originario de Tepic Nayarit, licenciado en derecho y notario público, egresado de la universidad Anáhuac de la Ciudad de México, inició su carrera en el Senado de la Republica, como Secretario Particular del Dr. Julian Gascon Mercado y despues en Instituciones de Crédito, posteriormente se desarrolló en diferentes áreas de la  Administración Pública Federal como sub director y director de área de Secretaria de Hacienda, así como  en la Secretaria de Comunicaciones y Transportes. En 1999 presentó su examen como Notario Público suplente recibiendo mención especial por el brillante desarrollo de sus temas. Jorge Careaga es  personaje muy respetado y admirado en  Vallarta y Nayarit, tanto en lo personal como profesional siempre se ha destacado por su  búsqueda de la excelencia, misma que se refleja  en la  Notaría Pública No. 12 en Nuevo Vallarta, La notaria se distingue por ser   líder en servicio al cliente,  recursos tecnológicos de vanguardia y  capacitación constante para todo el  personal  con reconocimientos a nivel nacional e internacional. Desde hace algunos años a nivel nacional, la asociación Nacional de Notariados  celebró con la secretaría de Gobernación un acuerdo en el que en el mes de Septiembre se generará un descuento del 50%. Como un beneficio extra la notaria 12  ofrece  el mismo  descuento  los meses de Octubre y Noviembre. Otra de las funciones de la Notaría es la de ser asesores jurídicos gratuitos para la comunidad.

En cada tema que aborda, se puede sentir su pasión y entrega, pero el tema que más lo emociona es el de su «Fundación Careaga», que ya lleva 10 años, trabajando conjuntamente a otras organizaciones, como la  Club Rotario, Cruz Roja, Coparmex y otras ONG en proyectos de apoyo y labor social. Esta organización surge para ayudar a la comunidad y regresarle un poco de lo mucho que le ha dado, y se basa en tres líneas: Educación, cultura y deporte. Todos los miembros de la Notaría participan en la Fundación, pero también tienen  invitados externos.  Uno de los programas que más le gusta es el que realizan junto con la Asociación de Hoteles y la OCV de Riviera Nayarit, haciendo  limpieza de playas una vez al mes, «Es una actividad familiar física y nos une a todos en la notaría, todos vamos con nuestras familias». Actualmente  «Fundación Careaga» participa  con los Rotarios, organizando el 7o Torneo de Golf Copa Rotarios, el próximo 24 de octubre, en el Club de Golf Flamingos, Los fondos se van a dirigir para operaciones de cataratas (programando 50 operaciones para el área de bahía de banderas) un proyecto iniciado por los Rotarios de Bahia de Banderas, Cabe mencionar que la asociación está abierta al público y pueden contactarla directamente con su Directora, la Sra. Originally from Tepic Nayarit, with a degree in law and notary public, graduated from the Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City, he began his career in the Senate of the Republic, as Secretary Particular of Dr. Julian Gascon Mercado and then in credit institutions, later on he worked in different areas of the Federal public administration as Deputy Director and director of the Income secretariat, as well as the Secretariat of Transport and Communications. In 1999 he submitted his exam as a substitute notary receiving special mention for the brilliant development of its subjects. Jorge Careaga is highly respected and admired in Vallarta and Nayarit, as a person and a professional; he always stood up for the pursuit of excellence, which is reflected in the Public Notary No. 12 in Nuevo Vallarta, the notary is distinguished for being leader in service to the customer, avant-garde technological resources and constant training for all staff with awards at national and international level. For some years the National Association of notaries concluded an agreement with the Ministry of the Interior that in the month of September a discount of 50% will be offered on wills. As an extra benefit the Notary 12 offers the same discount in October and November. Another function of the Notary is to be a free legal adviser to the community.
«We want to give satisfaction, security and total confidence to our clients by offering quality services and social responsibility; impacting positively in our community with a passion for service and legal certainty for our clients” says Jorge Careaga. In each subject that he addresses, you can feel his passion and delivery, but what excites him more is his «Careaga Foundation», which has been working for 10 years, with organizations such as the Rotary Club, Red Cross, Coparmex, and other NGOs in support and social work projects. This organization started to help the community and give back a little of what he received, and is based on three lines: education, culture and sport. All members of the Notary are involved in the Foundation, but also have external guests. One of the programs that he like is that along with the Hotels Association and the CVB Riviera Nayarit, they do beach cleaning once a month, «is a family activity and unites us all in the Notary, as we all go with our families». «Careaga Foundation is currently involved with Rotary International, organizing the 7th tournament of Golf Cup Rotarians, October 24, in the Flamingos Golf Club. The proceedings will be split half for cataract surgeries (50 in the Banderas Bay area) a project initiated by the Rotarians in Banderas Bay.
