SANTIAGO POLVOS
PINTOR ENTRE DOS MUNDOS LO FIGURATIVO Y LO ABSTRACTO
Nacido en 1976 en Michoacán, con la inquietud y el talento que lo caracteriza, desde niño se vio atraído por la pintura que ha aprendido de manera autodidacta.
Su experiencia en el campo del arte lo ha llevado al conocimiento de las técnicas básicas y clásicas para luego navegar en el área de la experimentación propia.
Encontró en la ciudad de Puerto Vallarta su lugar residencia desde hace más de doce años donde su trabajo artístico ha florecido de manera impresionante. Su obra ha viajado a lugares como Estados Unidos, Canadá y Europa principalmente.
La obra pictórica de Santiago denota su intensidad y su sensibilidad a flor de piel. Su recreación de la realidad con una pincelada segura y ágil da como resultado un deleite visual que satisface y encanta a quien tenga aún una mínima apreciación estética.
Su trabajo más propio juega entre lo figurativo y lo abstracto logrando un perfecto balance. Los colores intensos y cálidos junto con las texturas, reflejan una mística que sublima la cotidianidad.
Miembro destacado del Grupo Colectiva Malecón Arte Puerto Vallarta de 2003 al año 2010.
Con exposiciones desde 2004 como en el Festival del Arte Isla Cuale, en Presidencia de Puerto Vallarta y en diferentes galerías. Elevando su vuelo en Sala Internacional de Aeropuerto de Puerto Vallarta, Aeropuerto de la ciudad de Guadalajara y Aeropuerto Kennedy de la ciudad de Nueva York.
Otras importantes muestras son como Festival Madonnari en Santa Barbara, California y en el Congreso de la Nación Senado de la República, Ciudad de México en 2016.
The Art Center HIGHLAND PARK y en el Consulado Mexicano en la ciudad de Chicago, Illinois en 2018. Desde 2019 a la fecha en Galería UNO Puerto Vallarta.
Polvos tiene una historia de triunfo y un futuro prometedor.
PAINTER BETWEEN TWO WORLDS, THE FIGURATIVE AND THE ABSTRACT
Born in 1976 in Michoacán, with restless talent that, since an early age he saw attracted by the painting that he has learned in a self-taught way.
His experience in the field of art has led him to the knowledge of basic and classical techniques to later navigate in the área of his own experimentation.
He found his place of residence in the city of Puerto Vallarta more than twelve years ago, where his art has blossomed. His work has traveled to places such as; United States, Canada and Europe. Santiago’s pictorial work denotes his intensity and his skin-deep sensitivity.
His recreation of reality with a safe and agile brushstroke results in a visual delight that satisfies and enchants those
who have even just a minimal appreciation for aesthetics. It is most typical of him to play between the figurative and abstract achieving a perfect balance. The warm colors together with the textures, reflect a mystique that sublimates everyday life.
Prominent member of the Malecón Art Puerto Vallarta Collective Group from 2003 to 2010.
With exhibitions since 2004 such as the Isla Cuale Art Festival, in the Town Hall of Puerto Vallarta and in different local galleries. Exhibited in the International Lounge of the Puerto Vallarta Airport, Airport of the city of Guadalajara and John F. Kennedy Airport of the city of New York.
Other Important samples are such as the Madonnari Festival in Santa Barbara, California and the Congress of the Senate of the Republic, Mexico City in 2016.
The Art Center HIGHLAND PARK and the Mexican Consulate in the city of Chicago, Illinois in 2018. From 2019 to date in Galeria UNO Puerto Vallarta.
