Javier Orozco A.

Es un escritor, economista, master en Estudios Rurales y doctor en Economía Internacional por la Universidad de Barcelona, España. En su larga trayectoria como profesor e investigador ha impartido cursos en licenciatura, maestría y doctorado en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, la Universidad de Málaga, la Universidad de Guadalajara, la Universidad del Golfo de California, la Universidad del Valle de Atemajac y El Colegio de Jalisco. También ha dictado múltiples conferencias en universidades de España, Argentina, Brasil, Cuba, Costa Rica y Colombia. En 1988 y 1989 obtuvo el primer lugar en el VII y VIII Seminario de Economía Agrícola del Tercer Mundo en la UNAM. En 1998 obtuvo también el Primer Lugar en CESEJAL 98, por mejor Proyecto sobre Investigación e Innovación Tecnológica. Es autor y coautor de más de 30 libros y más de 30 artículos científicos sobre economía internacional, desarrollo económico regional, turismo y medio ambiente. Su libro más reciente lleva por título Notas sobre economía, política y sociedad en Puerto Vallarta. “La transición del Neoliberalismo a la Cuarta Transformación”. Además, fue primer presidente Fundador del Colegio de Economistas Jaliscienses, en 1996-1998 y Rector del CUC de la Universidad de Guadalajara entre 2004-2010. Actualmente es Miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) y Profesor-Investigador de El Colegio de Jalisco, A.C.
He is a writer, economist, Master in Rural Studies with a PhD in International Economics from the University of Barcelona, Spain. In his long career as a professor and researcher he has taught undergraduate, master’s and doctoral courses at the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Malaga, the University of Guadalajara, the University of the Gulf of California, the University of Valle de Atemajac and El Colegio de Jalisco. He has also lectured at universities in Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Costa Rica and Colombia. In 1988 and 1989 he won first place in the VII and VIII Seminar on Third World Agricultural Economics at UNAM. In 1998 he also won First Place in CESEJAL 98, for having the Project on Research and Technological Innovation. He is the author and co-author of more than 30 Who is Who Who is Who books and more than 30 scientific articles on international economics, regional economic development, tourism and environment. His most recent book is entitled “Notas sobre economía, política y sociedad en Puerto Vallarta. La transición del Neoliberalismo a la Cuarta Transformación”. He held the positions of Head of the Marketing and International Business Department, Academic Secretary, Head of the Tourism Department and Coordinator of Graduate Studies at CUCEA. He was also the first Founding President of the College of Economists of Jalisco, in 1996-1998 and Rector of CUC the University of Guadalajara between 2004-2010. He is currently a Member of the National System of Researchers (SNI) and Professor-Researcher of El Colegio de Jalisco, A.C.
Max Greig
Médico Ortopedista – orthopedic Physician
La vida de Max es una vida de continua superación y capacitación, su visión de mejora continua es a nivel personal, docente y comunitaria. Nace en Guadalajara en 1961, estudia medicina en la Universidad de Guadalajara, así como sus estudios de pregrado y su especialidad en Ortopedia y Traumatología en el Hospital Civil de Guadalajara. Realiza un postgrado en Medicina de Lesiones Deportivas en Edinburg, Texas; para luego continuar sus estudios becado por el gobierno alemán y realizar una subespecialidad en Cirugía de Reemplazo Articular y Artroscopía en Muenster, Alemania. Presidente en el 2008 del Colegio local de Ortopedistas, Rector del CUC (Centro Universitario de la Costa) en 2010- 2013 y fundador de las carreras de Medicina y Enfermería, además abrió las carreras de Biología, Cultura Física y Artes. Fue delegado regional del Consejo Mexicano de Ortopedia y Traumatología. Pertenece a numerosas organizaciones de manera honoraria y ha recibido múltiples reconocimientos. Está certificado por el Consejo Mexicano de Ortopedia y Traumatología (CMOyT) y es miembro activo de la Federación Mexicana de Ortopedistas (AMOT-FEMECOT), así como miembro de la Asociación Americana de Cirujanos Ortopedistas (AAOS) y de Cirujanos de Cadera y Rodilla (AAHKS). Miembro de la Asociación Mexicana de Cirujanos Artroscópicos (AMECRA), • Miembro de la Asociación de Artroscopia de Norteamérica (AANA).
Max’s life is one of continuous improvement and training, his vision of improvement is also on a personal, educational and community level. He was born in Guadalajara in 1961, he studied medicine at the University of Guadalajara, with an undergraduate degree in his specialty in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the Hospital Civil de Guadalajara. He pursued a postgraduate degree in Sports Injury Medicine in Edinburg, Texas; to then continue his studies with a grant from the German government in order to subspecialize in Joint Replacement Surgery and Arthroscopy in Muenster, Germany. President in 2008 of the local College of Orthopedists, Rector of the CUC (University Center of the Coast) in 2010-2013, he also opened the Biology, Physical Culture and Arts degrees courses. He was a regional delegate of the Mexican Council of Orthopedics and Traumatology. He belongs to numerous organizations on an honorary basis and has received many awards. Certified by the Mexican Council of Orthopedics and Traumatology (CMOyT) and an active member of the Mexican Federation of Orthopedists (AMOT-FEMECOT), as well as a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) and of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). Member of the Mexican Association of Arthroscopic Surgeons (AMECRA), • Member of the North American Arthroscopy Association (AANA).

Michelle López
Una artista con corazón de mar – And artista with a heart for the sea
Con una gran trayectoria, la artista Michelle López es la creadora de Proyecto Octopus Vulgaris y desde hace años la firma de NADIE; su autenticidad, su visión, gestoría cultural, el enfoque social al igual que su actividad en favor del medio ambiente, la ha hecho partícipe de movimientos internacionales en especial enfocados a la crisis del agua. Con 12 exposiciones individuales y más de 60 colectivas, la maestra en comunicación y gestoría cultural, ha dedicado gran parte de su trabajo a temas enfocados en la mujer, el agave y el medio ambiente. Invitada en 2014 a exponer en los muros del MOMA, así como, en el Bowey Art Museum en Nueva York. Participó en galerías en Miami durante el Art Basel donde también ha participado en conferencias sobre la importancia del arte para la sociedad. En 2019 tuvo exposiciones en Los Ángeles, Bahamas y en Japón, donde presentó su trabajo de fotografía, pintura y performance en Tokio y en el Museo Former Bank of Japan en Hiroshima. La etapa de pandemia internacional favoreció su presencia en otros países, y es parte de un movimiento cultural internacional de artistas que resurgen después de esta crisis. Ahora Michelle López tiene obra en Dubai, Barcelona, y trabaja en su propio espacio de creación artística en la ciudad de Guadalajara, La Galería de NADIE. También ha escrito dos libros acerca del Tequila y del Agave en México, lo que puede verse en sus pinturas.
With a great experience, this multifaceted artist is the creator of Proyecto Octopus Vulgaris and the sign NADIE, (NOBODY as the artist has signed since 2015). Her authenticity, her vision, cultural management, the social approach as well as environmental activism, have made her a participant on the international stage in movements especially focused on water crisis. After 12 solo exhibitions and more than 60 collective exhibitions, Michelle was invited in 2014 to exhibit on the walls of MOMA with her project Octopus Vulgaris, as well as, at Bowery Art Museum in New York; she has been participating in galleries in Miami during Art Basel where she has also took part in conferences about the importance of art for society. In 2019 she had exhibitions in Los Angeles, Bahamas and in Japan, where she exhibited her photography, painting and performance work in Tokyo and at the Former Bank Museum of Japan in Hiroshima. The international pandemic resulted in her new projects in other countries, and this impulsed Michelle to become part of an international cultural movement of artists who come to ´resurface´ after this crisis. As of right now, Michelle López has work displayed in Dubai, Barcelona, as she works from her own artistic creation space in the city of Guadalajara: La Galería de NADIE, or the gallery of NOBODY. She also wrote two books about Tequila and Agave in Mexico and that can be seen in her paintings.
